Question regarding HCM forms

Hi Experts,

HCM Forms and Processes is implemented for our client. Currently we are facing few similar issues regarding this. Managers need to select the employee (for whom the form needs to be created) and then "select process" which whould show up the list of all the available forms from which he needs to select one and continue with further processing. Here the issue is manager is selecting the employee and clicking on the "select process" button. But after that he is not getting the list of all the forms. Instead getting the error message "no data available". This is happening for few managers and not for all. We have also checked the roles and authorizations for the manager and they seem to be ok.

It would be of great help if anyone can throw any light on this problem.

Yes you get that error because you haven't done the configuration for the process which you want to be displayed when you select the employee and start the process

Pls check the config Process start and check the process is configured there or not?

IN SPRO you can find it under HR Administrative Services node under that Process Configuration.

Check these settings

Hi Arvind, Raj and VJ,

Thanks to all of you for your valuable inputs. I am sharing my findings in the configurations:

1. Set Up Processes -> Define Processes: All the processes are defined correctly

2. Set Up Processes -> Configure Process Start: All the processes are configured

with the start and end date.

3. Set Up Processes -> Determine Processor Roles: The role HRASRB (Manager) is defined with Initiator check box checked

Is there anything else that I am missing out?

As this is happening for few managers and not for all (only 2 cases we have, others are able to do it properly), do we need to check for any manager specific setting?

Arvind: From portal side configuration, what can be checked?

Then in this case it should problem with you data i.e., OM structure and relationships.

hi,

Please check Role assignment tab under Process start in the HCM -PF configuration node and ensure the relevant initiator role for a manager "HRASRB" is defined in the node

Hi ToaBhaduri ,

If the manager is starting the process then be certain to check the relevant initiator roles assigned in the "Role assignment" section available in the "Process start" of the process.

If the manager role is not assigned in the Process start then the particular manager(who logs in) will not be able to view the processes after selecting the employee.

Other than this the portal configuration also needs to be checked.
