Send both "Key & Text" values of a web variable to BW print program

Hi,

Let'z say I've master data for material as follows

Key text

100 MaterialA

200 MaterialB

for 0Material characteristic, I had set up BEX display properties as Key&Text.

I am using a text element to display user entered web variable value in the header report.

let'z say user selected MaterialA, in the web variable screen, then the report is as follows

MaterialA (text element)

report keyfigure values are here (table)

=======================

i'm trying to display both text as well as key, as follows

100 MaterialA

=======================

report keyfigure values are here (table)

=======================

How do i get key also along with text?

when i use drop down box, i am getting 100 MaterialA. but, i can't send dropdown box value "100 MaterialA" to javascript as a string which needs to be sent to BW print program.

Hi,

you have to use 2 text elements

one with the VARIABLE and one with the VARIABLE_KEY.
