I am trying to add an xcelsius template to my ondemand dashboard. I am following the below guide to connect to the dataset I want to use: http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/AddingaTemplate
When I get to step 6 and copy my datasets url into the WSDL URL input box, I get the following error:
Error in parsing WSDL or it is an external WSDL!
What does this mean and how can I fix this?

Hello,
That url does look valid, but it seems like we might have issues if you are not the owner of the dataset. Are you the owner?
As a workaround, could you go into the dataset's properties panel (at the bottom of the data tab) and click the "Enable WSDL" button. That should give you the same url with an extra access grant key on the end that should let you access the wsdl even if you are not the owner. Could you try that url instead?
If that still doesn't work, could you send me that new url using the "Email to author" button on this reply?
Thanks
Steve
Thank you very much for the url Sarah.
We have figured out what the problem is and are working on a fix for it. We will need to deploy a new verion of the xconline tool, but we are not sure of the exact date yet.
If you are interested in keeping up with the progress of this issue, please enter a support ticket using the Feeback tab on the right hand side of the BIOD window. Please use the following in the feedback message:
"XCOnline cannot create new connections. Please talk to Steve Norton for more info"

Hi Sarah,
I got the same issue and would be happy to see a fix but if you are in a hurry I could suggest a workaround.
I used the Desktop version of XCelsius and followed the tutorial article for the details about how to fill in the Flashvars and WebService connection details sand then saved the XLF file, uploaded it into the template creation step and then just skipped (pressed "Next") on the screen where you are supposed to edit the file with Xcelsius Online, and it worked :).
Best regards,
Bogdan
This error is happening to me now, last week when I clicke import I got a list of my datasets now I get this:
"Error in parsing WSDL or it is an external WSDL!"
I haven't changed any settings.
Any ideas what I can do?

Hello,
What is the url that you are trying to paste in? It should be the wsdl url to one of the datasets in account or a dataset that someone has shared to you.
If you post the url here, we can try to see what is wrong with it.
Thanks
Steve
