I find it worrying that there is a general impression out there that SAP is a field that anyone can just walk in irrespective of their inclination, experience, and ability and make massive amounts of money. Ironically, many people do make massive amounts of money, cleaning up after some of the people who walk in in the manner described.

Are you good in SQL ? I ask because you seem to be a sincere person by saying "I'm very bad at programming".

Yes - You have potential (in programming) but didnu2019t unravel it. So try again harder.

No - You should consider switching career or better have a bottle of pain reliever in desk drawer. Itu2019s nothing but pain.

I donu2019t believe anyone who is good in SQL but very bad in programming.

He only said he is doing SQL for 2 years, not how those 2 years went.

Basically it is non-information if someone says I have X years of experience in Y.

If they don't follow that up with: and in those X years I did A,B, C, etc.

Hi. As I said about my programming, I am not very good at coding and hence find .net, java, c++ etc very tough. But I am very good at SQL as I have worked for two years in a firm where I used to fire queries writing SELECT statements, and pull out reports by writing Stored Procedures.

Hi Rob,

I summarised my SQL expirience as being 2 years. All these years, I have been firing queries with SELECT statement, pulling out reports by writing complex stored procedures and did a bit of .net also. But I am most comfortable with handling SQL rather than coding........

The way you put it u201CIu2019m very bad at programmingu201D can be misinterpreted by readers. It happens from time to time. You donu2019t u201Cclicku201D with few languages is different than youu2019re bad at computer programming.

If you want you can try technical consultant., in my opinion. But you get to like ABAP.

Why donu2019t you go to abap forums and ask.

Every weekend, try a Yoga session. That would relieve stress

Why donu2019t you go to abap forums and ask

Posting that in the ABAP area would only get you flamed or locked - it's more of a career forum question.

As for being bad at programming and wanting to do ABAP, I don't get it, but you'd fit in with alot of folks already doing ABAP .

What I meant to say was, I only take ABAP questions in BI context. I agree career forum is better for his question.

He came out the second time and said he was very good at SQL. Everyone deserves a second chance, in my opinion. But If screw up again, it's over.

@Mukul. Possibility to learn abap during weekend? For me, you already knew the answer, if you want, you do it, if you donu2019t want then donu2019t. This is "no-needu201D question. Try to come up with a good one.

Moved from ABAP general. This was cross posted a couple of times as well.

All of them...then just come back here and post all your questions.

You seem to have put as much thought into your career choice as you did in picking the correct forum for your thread...

Perhaps another line of work?
