8I820-Multiple plants exist in the same invoice.

Hi,

While invoice verification by MIRO we are getting the error messege - "8I820 - Multiple plants exist in the same invoice".

In the above Purchase order several line items with different material codes exists with different plants.

Please suggest

Hi prakash,

The error was introduced to ensure that the system works correctly

when VAT with alternate G/L account posting is activated and

Business place is assigned per plant. Alternate G/L is determined per

business place/plant and so there cannot be mutliple plants in MIRO as

this will interrupt correct determination of alternate G/L.

We have tried this by making the error message as Information in

SPRO > LG > Tax on goods mvmt > Tools > Message control and it does not

give this error any more.

So if you are not using VAT then please do the above configuration and

try once again.
