Hi,

Thanks for the replies.

This is not exactly what I am looking for.

The scenario is as follows:

There is a Head Office with a full SAP installation.

Then there is another company in a remote location (different legal entity but part of the same group) with its own SAP installation and company database (excluding license server).

The users at the remote site need to be able to access their company database using the license server at the Head office.

The reason why the remote company database cannot be kept at the Head Office with the users accessing it via remote desktop connections is because the remote desktop connections are too slow.

To complicate the matter further, there are users at the Head Office that need to be able to connect to the company database at the remote site.

This means that if we were to split the licenses into 2 different systems and set up a license server at the remote site, each user at the Head Office that need to access the remote company database will need to have 2 licenses.

The client does not want to buy 2 licenses for the same named user.

Hopefully this will give a clearer picture of my requirement.

Kind Regards,

Rikard

Hi Rikard,

You have to split your licenses. I won't think, it is possible to access License server remotely.

Hi Rikard,

As per your previous reply you stated:

There is a Head Office with a full SAP installation. Then there is another company in a remote location.

You clearly mentioned two different companies. Unfortunatelly, even when having same username in the two different companies, the license mechanism will not allow you to login into different systems though an unique Server license (server tools).

You must have two differents License servers with the required amount of licenses, each license will be matched to the hardware key generated in the server machine.

If looking for specific addon able to manage an consolidate a Head office and one or more branches we invite you to look for the addon B1BC provided by our partner Citixsys (http://www.citixsys.com/solutions/sap/intercompany/) this a tailored solutions for this specific requirement.
