Creating Structures from hierarchies

Hi All,

Is it possible to create structure in a query based on a hierarchy dynamically?

I ask this as I am creating many reports based on a subset of a very large hierarchy (Chart of accounts). If I could create structures based on the hierarchy it would save me great deal of time.

If the answer is no how would you suggest I proceed?

- Building more hierarchies?

Many Thanks,

Phil

Yes you can: each row of you structure is based on a node (or more nodes) of a hierrchy, as a dynamical selection of accounts.

I can confirm this saves a lot of time in Query definition ... And this is one of the purpouses of Structures!

    Hope it helps

    • Dear Philip,

sorry, but I don't understand your question: "is it possible to create the structure automatically" ...

You have to create each element of the Structure manually and then whe your Hierarchy changes up to new loading/activations leafs under each Structure-element will change.

If I didn't understand well could you please make an example?

      Best regards
