Virtual Key Figure Help

I have some processing that creates an internal table that I would like to use in my Virtual Key Figure Logic. This internal table only needs to be created once so that the virtual key figure logic can access it.

Where should this logic reside? In the virtual key figure logic with a variable indicating it should only be executed once? Or some global area that gets executed only once?

Any ideas are appreciated...

    Hello Kenneth,

    You could use a static variable as a flag for example.

    statics: s_done type c.

    if s_done is initial.

    • fill internal table

    • ...

    s_done = 'X'.

    • Hello Gupta,

      you can find an example for a implementation of virtual key figures in the how-to paper "How to… Use variable time references in currency conversions" (just ignore all the stuff around currency conversion and look at the ABAP coding).
