How can I use a Bill Of Materials Item to create an invoice in SDK?

Hi all !

My problem is an item, which is a Bill Of Materials (Sales) and contains 3 more items. When you create an invoice with such an item in the application, the child items stored in the BOM are added to the invoice automatically, so that their stock quantity is changed.

When I create an invoice with the same object using the SDK documents object, only the parent item is considered, the child items can NOT be seen in the invoice, and the stock quantity for the child items is not changed, either.

I looked in the DI help, if there is some special property considering BOM, but I could not find anything. Has sb tried to do this before ? Is this a bug ? How can I simulate Business One standard behaviour with the SDK ?

    Hi Axel,

you can check if the item your are adding is a BOM.

If it is, you can look up all the items in this BOM and then add them to the list one at a time. I think this is the same procedure the SAP internal function goes through.

I do not think there is a built in feature (although it would be nice to have, I guess).

OK, thanks. We will have to consider what to do with the prices, because if I add both, parent & child objects to the invoice, the amount is twice as much as it should be. But for now we are deferring the subject to the next release, lucky me 😉
