Linking a document to a contact

Hi

Using the DI API I am trying to link a document to a contact.

-I can set all the exposed read/write properties of the contact object except DocNum, which is read-only.

-How do I link a document to contact using the SDK?

Hi David,

as DocNum is read-only, there's currently no way to set this property via regular SDK means.

IMHO this is a "bug" (setting DocType, but not DocNum for a linked document makes no sense). Please report it on SAP Service Marketplace (SMP) so that it can be fixed.

can you please clarify when you mention things like "report this on SMP" what that means for the rest of non-sap talking folks.
