Hi,
I`m a BA-Student and I`d like to do the tutorials for WebDynpro.
Since I only have a 1GHz laptop with 248MB Ram I want to use the NW Developer Studio which is available on the project zone on the wts.
My problem is, that I do not have a j2ee engine.
I tried to install it on my laptop, but I need the ms sql server 2000 in order to install the j2ee-engine.
Is there a way for me to get the NW Dev Studio with a J2ee engine to run so I can do the tutorials???
thanks a lot
Andy
Hi Andreas,
1GHz with 248MB RAM is definitely not sufficient to run a J2EE engine and the DevStudio on a single machine. The DevStudio itself will push your hardware to the limit already, but running it will work, i guess.
Do you have the possibility to access a J2EE engine remotely for deployment and testing? Then you could configure your DevStudio to use this engine instead of a local one.
Hope that helps.
Regards
Stefan
