EHPI frozen at DOWNCONF_DTTRANS

Hello experts,

I'm currently experiencing problems finalizing the Preprocessing roadmap step . Everything up to now has progressed slowly, but surely. After I confirm: all production activities have been halted; no users are logged in; and the central instance is isolated (all that exists is a central instance)....EHPI freezed and produces the following error:

SDTServer.log

Jan 29, 2011 8:54:33 AM [Error ]: Execution of command com.sap.sdt.engine.core.communication.CmdActionEvent@b519e20 failed: while trying to invoke the method com.sap.sdt.engine.core.admin.ClientEntry.getConnection() of an object returned from com.sap.sdt.engine.core.admin.AbstractServerAdmin.getClientEntry(com.sap.sdt.engine.core.admin.ClientID)

Thank you for any assistance,

    Hello Zach,

usually problems on this phase are related to the DSU service being unable to start/stop/restart an ABAP call from the ehpi tool, likely bein caused by an orphan process or PID at the OS level.

Have you performed any action like stop/start ehpi or restarted the OS or the SAP instance? Please check file DSUservice.log for any information logged by different hostnames or IPs, trying to perform one of the activities above. There should be an orphan system PID linked to this information, just kill it on the OS level and repeat the phase.

I believe this will fix the issue.

    Best regards,

    Tomas Black
