Dear All,
Can anybody guide me for calculating usage cost for Material PRT in Maintenance Order as per PRT usage.
I need to know key prerequisites necessary for calculating PRT usage cost in Cost tab in Maintenance Order.
Regards,
Saif Ali Momin
Hi,
I hope you assigned the Material PRT to the operation. Once you assigned the PRT to the operation, go to that PRT & click "General" button in the top. In that screen, goto "Quants" tab, there either usage value (fixed) or usage formula can be defined based on the no of hours of operation.
In OIZM, you can define the Usage Formula. Before that, you should define the parameters to be used in formula.

Dear Saif,
Well PRTs are resources that are not actually consumed during any maintenance activity. With reference to that, they do not have costs associated with their consumption and if you really do want some cost to appear against a PRT, create an activity type for the PRT in which you specify the costs associated with the usage of PRTs and link the activity type with the work center that is also to be created for the PRT so whenever you will create an operation with the PRT Work Center, the activity type would automatically be included in the operation and that way, costs would appear against the order. SAP PRTs are not as effective as they should have been as of now. But still its expected that in the future releases of SAP, there might be scheduling and capacity planning for PRTs and may be any costs accumulation against their consumption.

Usman.

PRTs is one of the areas I have never worked with in any great depth..
But [here|/thread/1377869 [original link is broken]; is a link that I found on Google that may be useful..
