Good issue for wastage materials

Dear Sir,

I have purchased materials 100 Tons and receives the same in store. But during goods movements 5 Tons has been wastage. So now physically in my store 95 Tons goods are there. So the quantity must be shown as wastage in system.

I want to update my sore location in system as per the physical balance. I want to show the 5 Ton materials as wastage. What is the good movement type to issue the material as wastage. Please suggest to update the stock in store.

If material is subjected to quality inspection,receive 100Tons,accept 95tons to unrestricted,scrap 5tons in quality decision.

In above case,material is scrapped with QI using mvmt type 553.

or

If not,receive material 100 tons using MIGO,later scrap it using 551 mvmt.

Also take care of excise entries if it is applicable.

Whether wastage is accepted by you or beared up by vendor ?

How wastage is occured,it is in material transit or in your stores ?

Whether you need to pay vendor for full quantity ?

material is wasted in store and full payment is made against vendor. I have to go for 511 as scrap materials.

sorry its 551 for scrap material not 511.

Hi dear

You can reuce the stock by 5 tons by 551 movement type and if you want the scrap to be shown separately as well then you can make use of MB1A-552 and upload that quantity (5 Tons) against the scrap code.(If you are having separate material code for the scrap of course).
