Unix developer in EP6

Hi SAP Unix Developers in EP6,

Could you guys please help to find all the required rights to publish par files under unix environment?

I understand that it happens in Eclipse using "Export Par" Option. But when you specify the user to use with exporting the PAR into EP6 what kind of DIR access the export process will be looking for?

Any ideas?

Thanks in Advance.

GO.

just kidding. Actually, the important rights are actually what the j2eeadmin user needs which is write access to most everything under /usr/sap/sid.

The portal developer specifically needs an administrative ROLE in the portal assigned to them. They don't necessarily need any file permissions since all access is to the DB or filesystem via the j2eeadmin or similar user.
