UI guideline version in form guibb attributes

Hi,

During component configuration of a form guibb, at the root node in the element hierarchy of the form editor, I noticed there is the attribute "UI Guideline Vers" which is a drop-down list. If I switch from the default value "UI Guideline 1.1 for Business Suite" to another, the look (spacing, alignment) changes quite dramatically.

I would like to know where these UI guideline versions can be maintained (as I see a value obviously a custom one, not sap supplied).

I had a quick look at WD4A stylesheets but I dont think this is it, as I ran report WD_THEMES and could not see any of the values available on the "UI Guideline vers" drop down list.

We are on EhP5 and wonder if this attribute was introduced here?

Hi Jon,

My understanding is that UI guideline version is introduced in 7.02 ,ecc 6.0 ehp 05.

I have seen in the FPM cookbook and also the materials regarding what's new in 7.02. Floorplan layout, toolbar behavior are controlled by the Guideline version.

So i think the DropDown box with UI guideline values are supplied by SAP.

Hey Baskaran,

Indeed layout behaviour can be influenced by the UI guideline version, as I found out when switching between one available dropdown value and another in this attribute field.

However it would seem that the customer can create their own guideline versions, as I had two available options - UI guideline version 1.1 (I think it was named this) and another obviously customer created as I could tell by the naming. However working for large organisation so I dont know who has created this customer UI guideline. There must be some standalone or sap-based tool to define these guidelines, unfortunately this is not mentioned in the latest version of the developer's guide. I'm in touch with SAP on this, but this may even be new to some of their guys who have not had much exposure to EhP5.

I'll keep digging and post back anything I find. Thanks for your input
