How to set certain fields as "Required" in maintenance plan.

Hi All,

While creating a maintenance plan, there are certain fields which are set as mandatory. However I want to set few more fields as mandatory fields.

I am unable to find a path to do this customisation in IMG. Could you suggest me how to do this.

Unfortunately there is no IMG setting for this.

The options are:

- User-exit as described above (TCode SMOD)

- Transaction variants (TCode SHD0)

- Customer-specific development to create a front-end screen

- Modify your system (not advised)

Easiest way is to try T.code SHD0 screen variant.

Plant Maintenance and Customer Service->Maintenance Plans, Work Centers, Task Lists and PRTs->Maintenance Plans->Define Field Selection for Maintenance Plan.

You can define the required fields.

Hi Nagaraju,

I have tried that already and that doesn't work, because that's used for the following reason:

The fields that you choose at this point are used for the field selection. Here you can define the layout of maintenance lists or the structure display by numbering the fields which should appear in the lists or by marking them as 'suppressed'.

Numbering fields defines the sequence in the list, so that the field with the number '1' appears first in the list, the field with the number '2' second, and so on.

Pls. suggest.

Hi,

As I remember we don't have any thing for making field selection like any other objects for maintenance plans.

I think you may have to go for development. I am sorry for my earlier reply.

May be you can use the following user exit, IPRM0004 Maintenance plan/item: Customer check for "Save"
