Notes Management in DP

Hi,

APO DP has a feature to insert notes in planning books (Similar to Comments in Excel) These notes get stored at a Planning Area Level. Would like to know if anyone have used it, if so would need inputs on the below:

1. How Mass Backup and Upload of the notes can be done: I am aware that All notes can be downloaded from Notes overview, but is there an approach to Upload notes so that they are visible in the planning books

2. How Realignments Effect Notes: Have Observed that in few cases the notes get added/overwritten/deleted, could someone throw some light on how this is handled

3. Is any reporting basis the notes done

Hi Bharath,

I kindly request you to go through the note 571629 for complete detail of notes.

A note overview (reporting) is not provided in the standard APO Release 3.0/3.1. A note overview is available as of Release SCM 4.0. In the administration of the planning areas, you can access this function using the menu path Goto - Note overview. You can also display the texts of the notes here and delete the notes.

Notes are taken into account in the realignment (note 512323). You will find corrections in notes 522249 and 519854.

Program /SAPAPO/COPY_NOTES, which you can use to copy notes from one planning version to another, is available as of APO Release 3.1.
