Quality Inspection Plans with the same material assignment

Does anyone know if it is possible to have the same material assigned to two different Inspection Plans without have to choose which plan to use. I am producing the same material on two different production lines that have different work centers and would like to be able to identify which plan to use based on production line. (Automatically)

You can define own logic for it in customer exit 'QPAP0002' (Enhancement for material/plan assignment, plan selection) and function exit 'EXIT_SAPLQPAP_002' (Customer Function for Task List Selection)

I think this is best way for your requirement.

I had faced same issue.

What I have done is

either create two inspection plan( which means two gruop counters) with two work centers & there chars.Manually assign the task list every time when lot is created.

or

Use QPAP0001 --->Enhancement - plan reading -

> User exit .For this I have created Group as say one production line is assembly ,so group name as "ASBLY"

Second like fabricate then name of group is "FBRC"

Logic in the User exit is to select the appropriate group depending upon from where GR is created & for which storage location.

Can you try inprocess inspection instead?. As you will have different routings for different line you can incorporate inspection ( atleast one for the differences between lines ) as in process inspection
