Change Form type

Is it possible to change the form type (fixed, sizeable etc.) with the SDK UI 6.5?

The form property is read-only in 6.5

If not, will it be possible in Version 6.7 ?

We'd like to add folder tabs to the Item Master Form etc. but the form type is set to fixed.

Thanks.

    Hi,

    the form.type property is not what you are looking for, since it is used to identify a form (such as 180 for sales returns or 133 for sales invoice).

    The naming is a little misleading since it collides with the naming SAP used in xml format.

    You can try altering a form by resetting the xml after the form has been opened.

    <form type="0" uid="UIDOfOpenForm" title="YourNewTitle" visible="1" default_button="1" color="0" top="100" height="420" width="670" appformnumber="ThisIsYourOriginalFormType ie.133 for invoice">

    ...

    <items>

    <action type="alter">

    ...

    by setting the type you can alter the form's appearance.

    4 = fixed

    3 = no title

    0 = sizeable

    I am not sure whether it works on SAP forms, but I assume it will.

    Keep in mind though, that SAP probably made this form non sizeable for a reason.

      FYI:

      Almost forgot this post.

      Problem:

      I could not load an xml file via batch load.

      Solution:

      I had edited the xml with a simple text editor. When saving the file, it was saved in the wrong format.

      Saving it in the right format solved the problem.

      Thanks again John,
