DTW error while uploading GRPO with batch managed items

Former Member

Hi experts,

My client is importing materials. For one GRPO there may be min of 500 line items, all items are batch managed items.

I try to upload it through DTW. There will be an error msg displayed in log file as " can not upload GRPO without complete creation of batches/serial numbers.

I have properly created the following DTW templates, Documents, Document lines and Batch numbers.

I also try to upload the draft document for GRPO through DTW. Data uploaded without errors but in B1 there is no batches assigned to the materials.

Please help me to resolve.

Thanks and Regards,

Sundar

Hi Sundar,

In ref to the issue "cannot upload GRPO without complete creation of batches/serial numbers'

This issue is from you Batch- BTNT template.

If you are receipting A item with qty 10 with two batches 5 each Line number 0,1 and Basline number neeed to be 0,0

Hi Sundar,

The GRPO DTW issue can be troubleshooted. Just an infor on the GRPO Draft you described that uploaded and you cannot find the batches.

In SAP B1 system design when you add batch based items and then save it as Draft the Batches will not be save next time you add the draft to a regular GRPO it will again re-assign the batches. this applies to even ion mporting GRPO draft from DTW.

Hi Rakesh,

Thanks for the information shared.

I just now noticed that the last line item in the Draft GRPO contains the Batch information. I also want to know whether it is a patch issue.

My Sap Patch is 8.8 PL 5 and DTW is also for the same Patch.

Thanks and Regards,
