java.lang.IOException while sending IDOC to xMII

Hi,

While sending idocs of type LOIPRO01 to xMII, we are receiving the error java.lang.IOException in SM58's RFC log. WE05 has 03 status. This is happening intermittently. Can anyone give me a clue why this is happening ?

We are using xMII 11.5 and Java 1.4.

Thanks,

Prasad.

The error would be coming from MII and you should find something in the logs indicating the issue. It could be the sap gateway causing connection problems, the size of the message, but that's just a guess.

I re-executed the failed message and this time it went fine to xMII system. I need to reset the status of the entry in SM58 and then execute LUW.

I couldn't find any information in any of the logs about the IDOC that are received/failed other than the user log which we populate.

The configuration looks fine. I dont see any deviation from standard documentation.

Thanks,

Prasad.

There are two separate documents in [MII Connectivity|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/xMII/MII+Connectivity] which provide configuration instructions for IDoc Listeners in MII 11.5. I would recommend reading both of them to see if there are any points you may have missed in configuring. I would also recommend reading the one for 12.0 as you may find some additional insight on the ECC/ERP side.

Mike,

I used the same document to create the idoc listener an year back. It worked well all this time but suddenly it started throwing such errors for certain process orders. I went through the doc again but couldn't find any difference in configuration.

May be i am too tired for the day and overlooking some points. Tomorrow, I will check it carefully.

Thanks,

Prasad.

Hi Prasad,

What version of MII 11.5 are you on? The type of error you are seeing could occur from changes on either side (ECC or MII), so unfortunately it does not direct you towards a solution. What happens when you resend the IDoc from SM58?

And have you performed any recent upgrades on either end?

Regards,

Mike
