How to upload Mobile Component in MI 2.5

I have installed MI 2.5 on WEBAS 6.40 windows 2003 with Oracle db 9.2 Now I am trying to configure the client.

I don't have a mobile device. I was hoping I can use my laptop for the cleint part. I started the webconsole and trying to upload the mobile componet.

Under MI 2.5 Client CD , I don't see any .zip file for win32. I see setup.exe under win32/comp folder.

I tried to upload the setup.exe from webconsole.

It didn't error out, but I can not see the mobile evice from webconsole.

I am new to MI and any help is highly appreciated.

I have the MI2.5 installation guide.

TIA

Venkat

    Hi Venkat -

you have to install your MI client with setup.exe first, e.g. ..\MI\MI2.5_SP00\Client\JSP\win32\comp\setup.exe for the JSP-client.

Webconsole (http://<host>:<port>/me/WebConsole) is for uploading your apps only (.war for JSP, .jar for AWT).

    Regards,

    Stefan

    HI Stefan,

    I did install the client.

I was able to start the web console.

Since I don't have access to Mobile Device, I was trying to use my laptop.

From web console when I tried to upload application component, it's promting me for a file which I don't find under win32 folder.

    Thanks

    Venkat
