Hi,

Marker update means stock gets updated/added. No Marker means the stock does not get counted.

We have 3 datasources in inv, BX, BF and UM. BX is used one time and it uploads the initial stock. We then compress with marker update and stock is updated. Compression here is mandatory. Then we do the BF load for exactly the same selection for which BX is run. It fetches the movements which resulted in stock value that is already updated by BX. We have to compress this without marker, meaning this stock is not counted. If marked the stock value gets doubled (as both BX and BF stock is counted). Then subsequent deltas from BF could be compressed with marker and the stock gets added/substracted to/from the existing figure.

Hi Keerthi,

Broadly speaking, the steps to initialize stocks InfoCube include:

1) Loading data from 2LIS_03_BX into the InfoCube.

2) Compressing the request with marker update (The checkbox "No marker update" should not be set).

3) Loading data historic data from 2LIS_03_BF and 2LIS_03_UM.

4) Compressing the request without marker update (The checkbox "No marker update" should be set).

5) From then on, deltas from 2LIS_03_BF and 2LIS_03_UM can be loaded. If you want to compress them, you should not set the aforementioned checkbox.

You can find the detailed procedure at:
