Collaboration Room not accessable?

Hello! Everyone,

I had create a collaboration room with user management set with read/write access to Active Directory. So all the collaboration related room group were created in the ADS.

Later due to some other issues we need to change the user management to ADS read only access and Database write\read access. Due to this change now the portal does not read the groups data from the active directory. This is has let to a situation where the collaboration room i had created (which has a all my content in the rooms) is in accessible as it is not able to resolve the group data.

Now my room show up in the all collaboration rooms but are inaccessible. It seems collaboration rooms needs some redesigning. Does any one have a solution to this problem?

Actually you changed the persistency where essential runtime information (-> the groups) of the Rooms are stored. You have the same problems with all other UME groups stored there. I would say this cannot be covered by the Rooms application at all, in that case it's really an administration issue.

The problem cannot be solved easily, because there is now an inconsistency in the persistency layers of the Rooms. The best chance is to recreate the Room and delete the old one. The data of the old Room can be copied to the new one using the KM content administration functionalities. Navigate to the location of the store areas of your Rooms and identify the old Room by its ID (can be found in the Room Administration). Then find the folder for the new Room and copy the content to that folder. Be aware that you must be KM content administrator. Afterwards you can delete the old Room.

There is no better way at the moment.
