Hi experts,
since a couple of days the campaign id is no more autmatically proposed by the system.
It simply gives an error message to enter the id, because it is an mandantory field.
Also has anyone a clue where to define the number range for campaigns.
Thanks a lot and kind regards
Hannes
hi, The marketing element for example trade promotion, campaign, marketing element does not have number range configure in SPRO by SAP design.
The number range does exist, but not list in configuration. (CRM 4.0 doesn't have)
Actually SAP use this number range in a hard code, in a BADI, name like CRMD_MKTPL
In this BADI, SAP according to the marketing element type to determine which number range it will used, and get a next number.
For exmample, if you create a trade promotion, it will have a prefix TP and SAP get the number from TP number range, like 0001, and the trade promotion ID is TP-0001,
if a campaign, it will have a prefix CP, and SAP get the number from Campaign number range, like 0002, then your campaign named CP-0002, something like this.
So you can search the number range in tcode SNRO, I remeber the number range name like CRMXXCPGXX
Or you can search out the number name from the BADI, SAP has already implement the BADI, and hard code the number range name in it.

Hi,
thanks a lot for your valuable answer.
So that menas that the behaviour that the number is not proposed automatically anymore could be due to an error with that BAdI.
Maybe another BAdI Implementation in campaign element disturbs the proper functioning of the BAdI giving the numbers.
Kind regards
Hannes
Hi,
Go to transaction SM30, in view CRMV_MKTPL_PREFIX, add CPG with prefix C.
If you do not have any entrance it takes the U.
