Availability of ABAP 6.40 linux eval?

Hello everyone

I have searched this forum but not found the answer I am looking for. Can someone tell me where or when to find the Linux Netweaver evaluation that has both the ABAP 6.40 and Java stack??? (http://www.sap.com/solutions/netweaver/linux/eval/nw4/) I have been watching the SAP Shop for months now since I first heard that it was distributed at CeBit 2004 but still nothing.

Anyone??? Please!!!

Dave

Hello Dave,

you can download the CeBIT Version from ftp://ftp.sap.com/pub/linuxlab/test_drive/.

Many thanks Gregor. Is this link accessible to the public? I clicked on the link but was denied access.

Hello Dave,

ftp.sap.com is public. Please ask your IT Department if the firewall is configured to deny FTP access.

Hello Gregor,

does this distribution - http://www.sap.com/solutions/netweaver/linux/eval/index.asp - contain both ABAP and J2EE stack?

Hi Stefan,

that would be great.

Thanks!

I think all iso images are necessary to obtain a complete installation:

NW4_TestDrive.iso_Part_aa

NW4_TestDrive.iso_Part_ab

NW4_TestDrive.iso_Part_ac

NW4_TestDrive.iso_Part_ad

NW4_TestDrive.iso_Part_ae

Hi Gregor,

yes, of course you have to download them all. Repeating the statement of the "other" Gregor: "I hope you have a broadband connection!"

There's a little description how to concat the parts in the README.

Go ahead, this may take a while

Hi Stefan,

the CD's are in progress

Am I right that SAP or SDN are not against distributing the CD's to fellows that have no broadband connection?

Hi Gregor,

you should stop posting here, since this slows down the download process !

And no, the DVD was distributed on CeBIT, currently you can't order it in the SAP Knowledge Shop (or at SDN). So if you haven't a broadband connection or know somebody who has one, you're lost.

Regards

Stefan

Oops, i see, you want to distribute it (should keep my eyes open today). I don't think, that this should be a problem. SAP wants people to evaluate and finally buy something, i guess.
