Web Service Fails

I've created a simple web service from a portal service. I can view the wsdl file in the browser, but when I try and invoke the web service, I get the following error. Any suggestions?

      My issue was that we were pointing at the wrong wsdl file. The portal makes it available via a URL that won't work properly (but I don't remember where it was). You have to use the one provided here-

      System Admin->Support->Portal Runtime->SOAP Admin->Web Services->your service

      That was my problem. After using this wsdl, everything seems to work fine.

    Hi Mike !!

    I am also trying to expose portal service as web service. To expose as a web service, I added WebEnable=”true” in portalapp.xml file but it is not showing up at System Admin->Support->Portal Runtime->SOAP Admin->Web Services !!

    Also, how can I generate a client for the web service so that it can be called from an external application ( not EP ) !!

    I appreciate your help.
