Branching in XI 2.0

Hello, does anybody know how to branch in XI. I want to create an scenario that looks as follow.

jdbc adapter --> XI --> rfc adapter --> R/3

XI <-- rfc adapter <-- R/3

branch on result in XI 2.0

XI --> idoc adapter --> R/3

The reason why I need to branch after the rfc response is that the key in the legacy system, in this case the vendorID is not the same in SAP and the legacy system, but the vendorID of the legacy system is saved in SAP. What I want to do is first ask SAP for the vendorID and after that make a branch with the algorithm:

If the vendor exist then update, if not then create.

Thank you.

/Ernesto

    Hello again, Maybe the solution can be a user defined java function in XI that make a bapi call through Jco. Does it make sense? Is that possible to do?

    thank you.
