Unknown Database Connector Error

Crystal XI Developer Full Install

Version 11.0.0.1282

Oracle database

Windows XP 32 bit

I have a report importing prompts from a text file. The report runs fine but I can not export to pdf. Receive 3 messages: 'Failed to export report', then 'Not Supported', followed by 'Unknown Database Connector Error'. I can successfully export to pdf when a single value is used in prompt but fails when 2 or more values exist.

I saved report WITH data and opened in Crystal Reports Viewer XI version 12.0.0.r130_v20070725. This viewer will export the report created with multiple prompt values imported from a text file to pdf .

I opened this report in Crystal X, imported same text file as prompt, and successfully exported to pdf.

Thanks,

Upgrade to CR XI R2 for free and try again.

Search here or in Report Design forum for how to upgrade for free

Link to CR XI R2 upgrade:

https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100006008462008E/crxir2.zip

use same keycode as for CR XI R1.

Uninstall CR XI R1 before installing CR XI R2

Thanks Don & Ludek for prompt response. I was able to install CR XI R2 and SP 6. That does appear to resolve pdf export issue, but has caused another problem! Now every time Windows is restarted the CR R2 installer runs again.

I've heard of this also but we've never been able to duplicate the problem.

Make sure you are a local PC admin and that Anti-virus is disabled, disconnect from your network and then do a repair install.

Thank you

Don,

This did not resolve issue where crystal installer runs every time windows is restarted. I was told this AM that my desktop is scheduled for replacement next week. If I have same issue with new PC I will re-post.

Thanks much for your assistance.
