Validity dates of BOM component not visible

Validity dates (valid from and valid to) of BOM component are not visible when I use a parameter effectivity change number to add the component. just the change number is visible. how can I make the system to show the valid from and valid to date of the component along with the parameter effectivity change number.

Please check the following -

1.Goto -SAP Txn OS29 -Make sure that you have marked the Validity Checkbox

2.Goto -SAP Txn- OS29 -Make sure that you have marked display Validity Indicator.

first, run OS27 and check out the Validity checkboxes;

second, run OS29 and check out the display validity indicator.

Looked at OS29 but it has only two option under validity indicator display

1. hide for wbs bom

2. display serial number

what I ma looking for is to display the valid to and valid from effectivity dates that I created in parameter effectivity change number.

Just wonder why you want to have the valid from & valid to dates when you're working with effectivity types. The changes are with reference to the effectivity types & not with reference to dates. Hope it clarifies.

Vivek, for some reason business want to see the effectivity dates in cs03 for that component. is there any way to display them?

Discuss with your abaper if one of the BADI's - BOM_UPDATE or BOM_EXIT can be used for your need.
