If I am in FBL5N is there a way to see if a line item has a note on it with out having to double click each individual line item? is there a different Tcode maybe that i could use instead.
Go to FBL5N, press Cont+F8 (change layout), add Text field from right to left, and save the layout, now u can see the text without opening each document.
Thank you for replying, my layout already has the text field I am trying to see if there is a way once I create a note on a line item in FBL5N too see it without having to double click the line item to see the attachment listing for notes.
having text field in your layout is enough to view the text in document without opening the document. i guess you are testing it in transaction code FBL5N and could not see the text updated immediately... If so.. text is already updated, but you can only view the text once you refresh the list.
either you update the text in another transaction code/while posting or after updating the text at FBL5N refresh the list.
