Is there a easy way of creating data types?

Is there a easy way of creating a datatype? I have the schema of the datatype that I want. I am using XI 2.0

The only way I see is to type it from scratch.

Any help is appreciated.

    Hi,

as i know you can not uplaod shema definition into the

Repository to be created as Data Type. The only things

you can do is that you can use XML or XSD in the mapping

editor. If doing so you don't have a data typ.

    Ramesh,

Not of much help right now, but XI 3.0 will allow the import of XSD's.

    Hi!!!

There is undocumented function in XI 2.0.

    1. create a new data type.

    2. choose a "XSD Definition" tab.

    3. press Alt+F10.

    4. an "open file dialog" will appear

    5. choose your XSD file and press "Open" button.

As I said this is undocumented function so you can't be sure that it will work in all your cases and SAP doesn't support it.
