Asset usefull life

Hi Experts,

I have a asset wih usefull life 8 years,whcih is copied form my DA of asset class.

Now i want to chage my asset usefull life to 3 years and i cant chage it at asset level as it is maitained at asset class level.

so i ahve picked one asset class and craeted new aseet in it and i want do tranfer but here may asset class has o years 1 month user full life.

If i do transfer now will same amount get posted to new asset?

Dear sai vani,

What error did you get while changing Asset useful life?? as far as i know we can change the asset useful life in asset level as well

go to AO21 field status for screen layout and maintain useful life for Main no, Sub no and copy.

I think it may solve your issue.

Hi,

Why only one month? You said, that you want it to be 3 years...

Anyway, you will have to post unplanned depreciation to this asset in order to bring the value to the right level.

my question was if i transfer it to new asset ,whcih has 1month usefull life...will same amount posted to new asset or any changes will happen?

I don't understand your doubt... Yes, transfer; it's normal procedure and shouldn't pose any problems.
