Unit costing

Hi Friends,

I have made setting in

Unit Costing for Sales Order Items

Check Costing Variants for Unit Costing

Check Costing Types for Unit Costing

Check Valuation Variants for Unit Costing

Now, sales order costing tab is available to input cost estimates without triggering from routing and BOM.

Getting message Cost estimate sheet saved temporarily,

I have created Production order against it

Now I would need help in knowing.

1. Whether I am in right path.

2. How the overheads are calculated.

3. How to assign cost component structure to my costing variant (2nd tab assignment i.e cost component structure field is

grayed out in my costing variant)

Finally could any one let me know end to end flow on configuration unit costing.

Regards,

Krishna

Hi Krishna,

current releases do not support cost component structures in unit costing. The cost component split will not be calculated. The only exception is material costing without quantity structure. But unit costing for sales orders does not create a CCS.

So, take care if you want to transfer the CCS to CO-PA.

Unit costing uses the costing sheet which is assigned to the costing object. Here the costing object is the sales order item. Therefore sales order unit costing uses the sales order item's costing sheet.

Johannes

Hi

1. You can assign Cost Comp Str to your company code / Plant in OKTZ - Tab "Assignment - Organ Units"...

This tab is on the Top Left side of the screen...

2. You can assign a Costing sheet in your Valuation Variant.. This would calculate overheads.. Go to "Overhead" tab of your Valuation Variant
