How do I get the full path of a picture displayed in a Picturebox?

Hi everyone,

I have a user form which has a picture box on it. When a user selects a picture I need to copy this file into the bitmaps folder under the business one directory.

I have looked at the picture property but it only seems to hold the name of the picture. Is there any way to get the original path to the picture?

Thanks,

Darren

    Hi,

Open the SAP Business One application and go to:

Administration -> System Init -> General Settings -> Path.

there you'll find a Picture path.

You can also use "Display Debug Info" in order to view the table it is getting from ...

    Hi,

This is fine for System forms, but the picture box is on my own user form.

For example, I click on the picture box, and in the file browser I choose the picture "C:\Pictures\Test.jpg" it is then displayed in the picture box. When I save the information on my form I need to copy the file to the pictures folder, but the picture box only holds the "Test.jpg" part of the filename.

Is there anyway in which I can get the full path to the original file?

Have you tried the FileSystemObject library in VB?

    Dim objFilesys As New Scripting.FileSystemObject

Try this objects methods on the returnvalue you get when you choose a picture. Through this object you can copy/delete files ,create/delete folders, get different file-info +++..
