Process Chain Model help...

Hi,

I need to kick off a transaction process chain after a master data process chain has been completed and at a certain time.

Example: MD chain completes at 3am. I need to have the TD chain execute at 8am, but only if the MD chain was executed. It does not matter if the MD chain was successful or not.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated....

    Hi Kenneth

The easiest way would be to model the TD as a subchain of the MD chain and in the context menu of the start process of the TD subchain put in a waiting time of 18000 seconds.

But again can you be sure that the time span will always be 5 hours, will the MD load always end at 3am??

In that case you could raise an event in the start of the MD chain and then have the TD chain to wait for that event. Doing this by using the ABAP process with the function module RSSM_EVENT_RAISE.

    Hope it helps.
