Material getting deleted even if production order exists

Dear All,

I have a scenario in which the material is attached to network activity and after running MRP planned order & production order is generated. Now after which in some cases the material is deleted, but order remains as it is.

Can anyone suggest how it can be controlled, like if planned order or production order is existing then the material should not be deleted until the order is deleted or locked then only the material deletion should be allowed.

Can be done via a enhancement. Discuss with your abaper with the below exit & you should be able to meet your need.

CNEX0039 Check deletion of a component in a network

In addition to the above, some amount of training & discipline would go a long way in preventing such situation to occur.
