Date of Mfg not editable in Batch

D/ Friends,

In MSC1N, I created a batch 2010-11 for the material SG99 in Plant A, strg loc SL1. In Basic data tab, I gave the Date of Manufacture & Available From date as 15.1.2011. Now the issue is that when Iu2019m creating the same batch i.e. 2010-11 for the same material SG99, on 22.1.2011 for Plant B with MSC1N, then the Date of Manufacture & Available From date are coming as 15.1.2011 by default & they are also non editable (grey).

1. Why the date of mfg of Plant A is coming automatically for Plant B?

2. Why it is in non editable mode even in create mode (MSC1N)?

Note: Batch level is set at material level by PP.

Is that date problem coming because of this setting? If so how can I set the batch level at plant level? Iu2019m working on fresh implementation & on setting the batch lvl at plant sys is giving message: u201CThis type of conversion is not yet implemented. Message no. CZ 308u201D. Pls advice.

Thanks in advance.

Also you should activate Batch at Plant level for which check Note 41715 - Resetting batch level from material to plant level

In Basic data tab, I gave the Date of Manufacture & Available From date as 15.1.2011.

For information, in material master both Basic Data1& 2 are client level and it is not plant specific.

thanks
