basically i need to use the other company X just to keep our company Y stock in their warehouse and then use our stock to deliver to our stores from the company X.

Can u propose a better solution

What i think is - this is neither STO nor Intercompany STO. Even if the physical location belongs to other company X - you can maintain a storage location assigned to your own plant of company Y - and use it for this purpose. You can transfer the stock th. transfer posting.

And while sending to Store (sale/STO) - it needs to be done from company Y.

You can not sell it from Company X - because the sales, taxes, excise, etc. will hit company X - and won't match with that of company Y.

In intercompany sales - one company delivers goods from a plant of another company - but in this process Invoice is raised between two companies and Invoice verification is done. Entries are balanced in both companies.

      Thanks

You can do intercompany stock transfer.

Billing is necessary in case the company codes are different. Check with the finance dept.
