Dear Gurus,
We have a requirement to enhance our SAP HR/HCM system to EHP 4. Currently our system is on release 600 and level 053 and it is required to move to release 604 and level 007.
I need to find out if we enhance to EHP4 what will be the impact of this on other modules (if applicable) and if any impact what steps should be taken to subside them.
Also I need to find out the general implications of doing this and things to keep in mind before performing this task.
Please provide me with suggestions and relevant SAP notes to get this information.
Regards
Hello,
During our transition from ECC 6 to EHP 4 we have faced the following issues (Minor ones).
If you are working on the SAP standard payrolls (India, US, UK etc) the issues will be minimal. In case you use international payroll for any other countries the corrections need to be required for driver programs, few payroll functions etc with reference to the country grouping.
Common issues were:
a.Country reassignment action-Separation action was not following with existing positions- Required SAP note-1346799
b.Unable to select the employee subgroup during Organization management action (PP03)- Required SAP note-1338447
c.Unable to delete payroll result for countries (country groupings other than numbers)- Required SAP note-1382738
d.Change / unavailability of mode of payments in IT0009(changes required in table T042Z).
Along with this please take care of your Z developments during UAT.
Regards

From the suggestions on SDN and some other threads and googling on SAP notes, we did the impact analysis and applied EHP4 successfully.

We will be going through the same process this spring, and from what I have read up to now (and Ravi somewhat confirms it), moving from 6.00 to 6.04 doesn't change much other than making some new elements available.
But if you opt to use one of these new elements, then you'll need to configure them.
