Hello Gurus,
I would like to just confirm if its correct that the requested delivery date in an order at the header applies to all items but if the First Delivery date field at the item level for an item among the items is set differently, that first delivery date will be taken as the delivery date for that item at schedule line level, thus overriding the header requested delivery date. Or are they different things? Can first delivery date be changed directly at the item level per item or must it be assigned by the system only using the ATP check?
Have a nice day.
Regards
M Russo
Dear Russo
The "requested delivery date" in the item overview screen of an SO is proposed from the sales document type in VOV8.
Alternatevely, you can also manually change the date in the item overview screen of an SO.
If you want to change that date for a particular line item,
"select" that line item, go to 'edit",- 'Fast change' - delivery date.
Here you manually give that date.

Hi
The system will propose the req delivery date as current date initially, that comes form sales doc type, but if you change your required dlv date, then it applies to all the line item of a SO.
Also you are right, when the item is not available and the system will propose a new dlv date that based on ATP,
also we can change the dlv date manually- in that case again based on whether Forward / backward scheduling this will be recalculated.

thus overriding the header requested delivery date
Yes your findings is correct.
Can first delivery date be changed directly at the item level per item
Yes if situation demands to change, you can very well change at item level.
