EDI Station migrate to SAP XI

Hi all,

We actually have an EDI Station that connects our VAN Mailbox with SAP r/3. We want to migrate to XI, but we have two doubts.

1) The connection is done via modem with a VAN Provider. Is it supported by XI. I presume that the answer will be no, so... Does anybody knows an alternative to VAN Mailbox that allow us to receive the EDI messages without the modem connection?

2) On Sap BC there is a WmEDI package that simplifies the mapping process. Is something similar in Sap XI?

thanks in advance,

David R.

    Hi David,

1)The connection via modem is in a "channel layer", and in this point are diferent posibilities ... you can connect the networks using X.25, TCP/IP under Internet, etc...

    2) Sorry, but in XI 3.0 this kind of job sound like searh a Third-party Technical+Functional Adapter.

The SAP Partner SeeBurgers sells a EDI Adapter that make this mapping works.
