MMPV Conversion

Hi,

When i try to run MB1C i get an error "Posting only possible in periods 2010/12 and 2010/11 in company code xxxx"

when i check MMRV the current period is 12/2010, but i am trying to close the period 12/2010 in MMPV but it says 'No Conversion' . Can anyone please assist what i am missing here

Hi,

Pls check if you are giving the right paramaters in MMPV. You have to enter the next period ie Period - 01 and Fiscal Year 2011.

If it still reads 'No Conversion'. Can you note what is The current period (month/year) of the control record isxxxx in the MMPV log.

Thanks for the responses, But no luck yet !! my MMRV shows

Current Period : 12 / 2010

Previous Period : 11 / 2010

Last Period in Prev Year: 12 / 2009

I know i need to open MMPV as 01/2011, But system says no conversion. Any ideas will be much appreciated.

Message no. M7053

Diagnosis

The posting date entered is not within one of the permitted posting periods (current period/previous period).

This can be due to one of two reasons:

The correct current period has not been set in the system.

For the system, the first of the entered periods is the current period. At the beginning of a new period, your systems administrator must change the current period in the material master record, using the function "Shift periods". This has not yet been done.

You have entered a wrong date in the field "Posting date".

Procedure

Check the posting date and correct it if necessary. If your input is correct, inform your systems administrator that the "period shifting" (period-end closing) process has not yet been completed. Copied from M8022

go to transaction code OB52, check the variant whether period is open or not.

You can get the fiscal year variant by going T code OBY6.Change it current period.

Table t009b has the information from fiscal year variant.

Looks like you have no varaint for 2011 defined for the company code 1000.

Maintain your settings in OB29 (or better, let your finance collegue do this)

Hi

1. Check out the Fiscal Year Variant for your company code.

2. Close the period "01" "2011"

3. Select Allow posting for previous period

what did you enter in MMPV? please read carefully the field labels.

Close the period "01" and year 2011, In MMPV it will work.In MM 2 period posting happens present period and last month. If you do the posting in last month system will accept in present situation also.
