customer requiremennt in sales order

hi friends,

we want to have a scnenario where we create one material master for so many/variety description of items. so that whenever a customer ask for one of those items we use the main material created to create the sales order and just add the actual description of what the customer want in the sales order. where or how do i maintain this customer actual requirement in the sales order.

Two options are there and one has already been suggested. The other one is you can consider item text determination from VOTXN

I think you can use the Customer Material Info Record. CMIR in VD51 t code
