SAP Trex working on WAS Mime-Repository

Hello,

has someone any experiences connecting SAP Trex to WAS Mime-Repository.

Background: realizing an internet scenario - 'download area', which allows customers to serch for documents and download them.

I have found out, that this is possible with SAP Trex 6.0 HotPackage 1 Hotfix 5 (some bugs in prior versions concerning different codepages).

Doing customizing with transaction SKPR06, SKPR07, you would be able to switch on indexing for the different

document classes of the document area 'MIME', as defined

in the document modelling workbench, accessable via transaction DMWB.

Stefan Riedel-Seifert

    Stefan,

No one in our group has used Trex before. But I did ask around to find an answer. It seems that you have already contacted other colleagues about this problem, so I will let it slide for the moment. Maybe you can update us when you have the final answer.

    • Hello Brian,

i have found the following solution. There is a transaction called DMWB. This transaction allows to configure document areas as the MIME (-Repository) to be respected by TREX. A special doument class (->M_TEXT_P), which containes all text related mimes (*.js, *css) is switched on by default. On the other hand you have to confirm this on the TREX-side (txn skpr06, skpr07). There are also some exits to steer on which node in the repository tree the trex should work.

In the whole it is to many information on this, to post it in this forum, but every interested developer can

      contact me via e-mail.

      Best regards, Stefan
