Recipients

I need to schedule a report job. What I want to be able to do is print 2 copies and specify 2 recipients on 1 job. I'm printing a cover page. So what I want to see, is the name of the first recipient on the first copy, and the name of the 2nd recipient on the 2nd copy. Is that possible?

Is there any other way to do this, without me scheduling 2 jobs for the same report program just to get the result that I want.

Please advise. Thanks in advance.

    • Hmmmm.....interesting. You may have to use a driver program. A program that would be responsible for running you report multiple times, each time sending to a different printer. Have a selection screen on the driver program with select options for output device. You can set up a variant for all the printers that will get the report. In your driver program, loop thru your printers and submit the report program to the spooler with that device. I don't like having extra programs to do simple things either, but not sure that there is another way to satisfy your requirement.

You may want to check out the keyword PRINT-CONTROL, don't know if this will help you, but its worth looking into, you may learn something 😊
