export JCOTableViewModel to CSV

In an EP6 JSPDynPage java iView, is there a way to export the contents of a table (JCOTableViewModel) to a file on the frontend client in CSV format?

Thanks,

F

...in a similar way to the EXPORT button in BW web reports.

    Any ideas highly appreciated.

You can't directly write the JCO.Table contents to CSV, but you have a couple of options. In the JCO.Table object there is are methods to convert the data to XML, so you can use toXML() or writeXML() to export the data in XML format. Another option is to write a simple utility class that can iterate through the records and dump the data to a file or StringBuffer.
