Differences in Classic RFC SDK libraries

Classic RFC SDK includes the following library files in 'lib' directory.
Does anyone know the differences between them?

  • librfc.a
  • librfccm.o (only for AIX)
  • librfccm.so (.sl for HP-UX)
  • libsapu16_mt.so

I know that librfc.a is a library for static link, and .so libraries are shared libraries that can be linked dynamically.
In specific, I'd like to know the followings.

1. What are the differences between librfccm.so and libsapu16_mt.so?
2. All the API functions included in librfc.a are provided in librfccm.so?

Since the file name of librfccm.so is not librfc.so, I thought there might be some differences between librfc.a and librfccm.so on their functionalities.

I'm aware of that the classic RFC SDK has already reached the end of support on March 2016.

Best regards,
Yasu Suzuki
