Hi,
I am fairly new to SAP so forgive me if this is a dumb question. I want to use the PDK version 6.0 SP2 (60.2.2)to develop an iView and it seems that I first need a running SAP Enterprise Portal version 6.0. But if I try to install EP 6.0 SP3 it fails saying it cannot find a SAP J2EE instance that matches the portal platform requirements.
My SAP J2EE instance is running under SAP WAS 6.40 (sneak preview edition downloaded from SDN). Is it possible to install SAP EP 6.0 against that version of WAS??
Anyway, here is the detail of what I installed and the error I get:
I installed SAP WAS 6.40 Sneak Preview edition (downloaded from SDN). This seems fine, services are running etc and I can goto http://localhost:50000 and all looks OK.
When I try to install EP 6.0 SP3 (also downloaded from SDN) it fails with the following message:
"SAPInst could not find any SAP J2EE instances that match the Portal Platform requirements. The installation stops. Install the SAP J2EE 6.40 according to the Portal PAM requirements, and run the portal installation again."
I searched SDN trying to find the "Portal PAM requirements" but with no joy. Any idea what requirements my SAP WAS install does not meet?
